In the small rivertown community of Stockholm, Wisconsin, WideSpot Performing Arts and Community
Project collaborated with local chef Linda Harding of
The Kitchen Sage to throw an annual Gumbo Cook-off. They needed to announce the
event with printed posters, and images that could be used on their website, email blasts and facebook.
What do you do to promote your events when your audience is made up of a colorful, creative and intelligent community? You go to the resource who understands that, while throwing something together might work, putting out your very best work not only gets more people talking, but more people sharing the information via social media. It elevates the expectations of a brilliant and successful event, and works harder to ensure greater attendance.
